Hallo, ik ben Mariana!
Hi! My name is Mariana, but you can call me Mia. 30 years-old woman, from Portugal. I moved to The Netherlands in January 2024 with my boyfriend and our pets (Burguesa, a 3 years-old cat, and Giorgio, a 5 year-old guinea pig (both rescued). Since then that I'm doing pet-sitting services for dogs, cats and rodents (but I also have experience taking care of birds and other uncommon pets). I worked with reactive dogs and cats and also with cases of separation anxiety. I'm also very comfortable with pets with special needs (as medication).
I have 15 years of experience as a pet owner, 1 year of experience volunteering at an animal shelter with dogs and cats and more than a year of experience as a pet sitter in The Netherlands.
I'm very organized, patient, kind, calm and responsible. I describe myself as a pet lover and someone very attentive to the details.
I truly enjoy caring for animals and always make sure to keep their owners updated on how they’re doing.

Mariana is an absolute dog whisperer - we have two rescue dogs, who have their own quirks (one with reactivity) and Mariana managed to win them over immediately. She is passionate about what she does, and very knowledgeable and professional. We feel lucky to have found her! She is responsive and sends fantastic updates while she’s watching our pups - can’t recommend enough, 10/10.

Mariana walks our Flatcoated Retriever at lunch time. She is very friendly and you can see that she truly loves all animals. It is also very clear that she has experience with all types of dogs. It is nice to have someone like Mariana, someone you can really trust!
